Make Ithaca Stakeouts Again

Thanks for the info!

IIRC, from what little I've seen on the internet, the newest production M37 Stakeouts seem to have a LE prefix to the factory serial number versus the older HG suffix. I assume for short form law enforcement.
And I do believe the dismountable barrels for the newer Stakeouts, seem to have LE stamped in bigger engraving, upper part of barrel, for easier viewing as well.

Just from the odd pic on the net. No personal experience here.

FYI, Ithaca now seems to be offering 2 new 14" PGO shorties, the FTG and the Stakeout II respectively.

Hopefully they're exportable to Canada?

My right kidney for an Ithaca 37 pre-70.

You can get a pre-70 Ithaca 37 featherweight at literally any and every gun show in Canada. For the longest time they were the workhorse shotgun.

Getting a heavy barrel pre-70... Well, that's an entirely different kettle of fish.

I bought a1957 vintage Featherlight for only $150 shipped a few years ago, mind you it was a tired beater, but it was serviceable enough and made me a fan of the design.

Well it looks like I might have to go get one.

Oh my gosh i want that wooden one, the "stock" is so ugly though would turn it into a birdshead/raptor grip right away.

It'd be restricted by length if you did.

The Ithaca 37 receiver is about 1.25" shorter than that of the 870 and Mossberg, and consequently you need more grip or more barrel length to keep that configuration over 26".
