New SK trespassing laws coming soon

Or, it's the result of farmers who're sick of entitled people using their land as they please without first asking for permission?

People using private land as they please can result in:

-strangers unintentionally ruining the landowners hunt(s)
-crop damage
-potential safety issues as neither the landowner or strangers know who is currently hunting on the land
-disturbing game the landowner has been patterning
-increased theft of stands, trail cameras

All of this can be avoided by communicating with the landowner to allow them the opportunity to control who is using their land and when along with letting the hunters know where they can or cannot hunt and when others will be on the land.

Everyone else in the thread apparently gets it. Why is it so hard for you to understand the simple concept of asking before using something someone else purchased? This shouldn't even need to be a law as it should be common sense. I can only see trespassers and poachers taking issue with this....

As I said, posting the land solves all of your above concerns and forces hunters to communicate with the land owner.

All that prevents posting land is laziness.

Oh noes you have to talk to someone on the phone. And the world ends, but you want landowners to spend thousands of dollars to put up signs because you are too lazy to make a phone call to use something you didn't pay for.

Good thing you are all about not blaming to the property owner for the actions of others are you?

Yep, just blaming farmers for their own inactions.
