Laugo Arms Alien 9mm

I guess all these neat designs from the Czech Republic come at a premium. The FK Brno 7.5 is coming in at $7500.

That's a bit different I would think. The fk brno is a massive gun shooting a ridiculous proprietary cartridge... It weighs almost 3 lbs!

I reckon these will probably run in the $2500-$3000 USD range. Looks like a lot of hand polishing and fit work on the gun, along with all of those fancy slide machining operations.

If this pistol is amped up and actually delivers, you can say goodbye to the flock of fancy CZ 75 based custom guns, lol.

I love the idea. I just need to see how it is fleshed out for production.

My only major concern is how it will make out under heavy use. If you've shot a P7M8 you may know where I'm going with this. The gas delayed blowback system works well but can also turn a decent duty gun into something you need a welders glove to handle over long practices. If this new model can handle dissipating that heat and not soften the recoil spring temper in the process, it has some potential.

I may be missing something about this design compared to every other pistol but wouldn't the heat vs spring temper be a problem with all pistols ? The recoil spring is nearly touching the very hot barrel with most pistols I am aware of. Please elaborate. I know I am missing something here.

Czechoslovakia? Thought that country broke up in 1993.

The Czech Republic's official formal and short names at the United Nations are Česká republika and Česko in Czech, and the Czech Republic and Czechia in English.[1] All these names derive from the name of the Czechs, the West Slavic ethnic group native to the Czech lands. Czechia (/ˈtʃɛkiə/), the official English short name specified by the Czech government, is used by many international organisations and attested as early as 1841. However, most English speakers use [the] Czech Republic in all contexts.[2][3] Other languages generally have greater official use of a short form analogous to Česko or Czechia[4][5] (such as French [la] Tchéquie or Korean 체코/Cheko) although forms equivalent to "Czech Republic" are not uncommon.

lots of pistols have the spring right over the barrel, before the temper went out of the spring, I think your barrel would be toast
