Looking for some help with a load for 9mm 147gr. What are you guys doing?
N310 is what I use - officials can't believe it's making minor it moves the gun so little.
Campro 147s and 3gr N310 - OAL 1.11 - Works in my STI 1911s and Tanfoglios. Usual disclaimer - work up the load for yourself....Thanks Sean, but what weight bullet and charge?
That was my go-to before I discovered Vhit N310. Worked pretty good!anyone try clays with 147s?

I ran the same OAL as I did with the Vhit, and it was the same weight (3gr) Same disclaimer; start a little lower and work up using a chrono to check.what would you recommend for OAL and powder weight with 147s? I like to load to 1.15 for OAL with my 124s but ive never tried clays before.

OAL for YOUR pistol is determined by the chamber/throat of YOUR barrel. You don't care about my OAL unless you plan on borrowing my pistol.
Take the barrel off, clean the chamber, load a round at 1.30 and see if it "plunks". Case hits the throat, bullet does not touch anything.
If the bullet hits the rifling, turn the seater down a quarter turn and try again. Keep doing this until the bullet does not touch. Go one more quarter turn and note that OAL of that bullet four YOUR pistol.
The OAL will be different for each different brand or weight of bullet.
