I just ordered one.....dear god the this is going to be glorious .This is going to be a great ranged paper hole punch. Now all I need to do is get non corrossive ammo, All I got left is 38 rounds of that czech surplus stuff from when I had an SKS.
um, isn't the whole point of a chrome bore so that you can shoot the corrosive stuff with little risk?
I'm gettin one of these badboys, and a big ole crate of corrosive commie ammo
The chrome makes it more corrosion resistant, it is not corrosion proof. You still need to clean it!

Chrome does make it resistant, but I like having the option of doing a less thorough cleaning somtimes or putting it off for a few days (usually my guns are squeaky clean though. Sometimes it's just nice to put it off for 2 or 3 days, but when I use corrosive stuff I always end up doin it right away.
Where do I buy a new barrel, 2 mags and a bayonet for 50$ for my inferior model?
The market changes, new guns/parts become available, new prices are had.....suck it up.

The short barrels do look cooler.

Short barrels will be available in the future....
We do not have any plans to make the long barrels available....
BIGDAWG has it right, you can't simply unscrew and replace barrels at will....
There are issues that will arise when doing that. As I said before one of the reasons we are "late" in introducing our long barrel version was that we needed time to correct such minor problems as cracking receivers, damaged bolts and carriers.
We solved the problems, but it is not a simple thing....
Of course some will say we simply want to sell more guns.... Remember we have a warranty policy to support, we can't afford to put out a problematic firearm.
