Heckler & Koch 417

That's bizarre, since Heckler & Koch is a British company (BAe Systems) - but I guess since it has operations primarily in Germany that comes into play.

There are German Federal non-proliferation laws that restrict HK from marketing firearms of a non-sporting use to the general public. This is beyond HK's control, as a market driven firm they would be more than happy to capitalize on the opportunity. Too many African cesspits and their child militias are armed with G3's, G41's, HK33's, seeing this Berlin tightly monitors and regulates any of HK's sales. So don't be hatin' on HK even despite their inflated prices.

Arent the Bushmaster ones that havent been tested to any degree?

Not really sure, just going by what ive seen Bushmaster make in the past. However if they are being made by POF for Bushmaster..I have no real opinion on them. Still do you need a piston if its not a shorty?

Hk had called their 5.56mm M4 piston variant the M4C and M4D intially. As well as some other stuff -- Hk thinking (lol that's a joke) they had the XM-8 as a slam dunk - agreed not to enter their Piston M4 series guns into SCAR and to change the name and some other stuff.

XM-8 comes out as the aborted POS that it was and then it gets really ugly and everyone who knows all is stuck behind NDA's
- Hk sent their gun to ARMS to make a freefloat rail (before they had their rail) - #### Swan is "rumoured" to have let Colt see it - and Colts M5 piston got a remake soon after - and Hk severed ties with ARMS and went their own way and then re-introduced the Hk416 and 417 to the US Mil --
The USMC MARSOC Det-1 trialed the 417 (and some PGW guns).
My leak in Det-1 jumped to civy contracting so no idea what happened after that.
AWG has the 416 as do sub entities
AFAIK the 417 has not been issued, or bought in any number beyond trial.

Not sure -- I heard a rumour they fostered the side folder Timberwolf -- so I'd guess they bought a bunch -- I doubt Steve or Ross can comment though -- all these shady buggers dont like their product history out on the net. Like people in Canada -- if you devuldge they bought from you -- it was your last sale ever...
