i have a shotgun and it is registered as a handgun. it is an h and r handy gun from the 1930 era.

That's weird because my Dominion Arms raider is registered as a restricted shotgun, and both are the same kind of firearm, go figure.

I kept telling myself I already had a shorty and didn't need another. Apparently I'm not very persuasive seeing as how I just placed an order. I can see this happening again when the mag-feds drop next month... damn you, Canada Ammo!

How do you like the Raider? I'd like to get one myself, but I'm still on the fence.

So short PG only shotguns are definitely capable of being registered as a handgun. (Which really sucks because a R shotgun can become NR with a new stock or barrel, whereas you can never make a handgun NR regardless of whether its got a full stock and 30" barrel)

It's too bad that DA wouldn't make a sweet pistol-calibre carbine, based off/built on their 1911. I wonder if that would be possible. Basically insert a 19" barrel in there, and add a custom stock that screws in place of the grips.

It would be ugly as heck, but it would fit the bill as a cheap, reliable pc carbine in .45. I bet they could crank those out for under $700.

Anyways, relevant to the thread, yes as soon as I saw the email, I realized I didn't have enough shotguns... I'm gonna make a payment to mastercard this month, but I'm not gonna open the statement :)
 
Can Am, weren't the shorties (that I just got the e-mail about) supposed to have the updated forends that drop down in the front part so your hand can't slip forward? I thought I heard before that they were being made that way.. just wondering.

The forthcoming magazine feds have this new forend.
