these are good 1" high and xtra-high rings:

I setup my Stag 10 for hunting. I wanted to keep weight down. I put a Vortex HD LH 3-15x42 with the HSR-4 reticle. I can't find quality 1" rings that are lightweight and tall enough, so I put it in a Aero Precision Cantilever mount.

Something to keep in mind. Separate rings work well for the AR308 as you have enough real estate and don’t require crossing the receiver to handguard seam. Warne/Zeiss make good QR rings as does Leupold and TPS are good if you have a torque screwdriver or torque set socket wrench. If you have a 50-56 mm bell then it’s easiest to get a single piece AR mount.

I mentions these because a lot of guys switched out their high/extra high rings to one piece AR mounts. Worth checking your parts drawer or the EE if on a budget and looking to save weight/cost. Also you can often find sales.

I suspect I’m going to rings for my Stag 10. Not confirmed yet.

Tried the Warne Mountaintech high rings from Bass pro. I found them a bit too low with my PRS stock.

I'm probably going to go with a Cantilever mount to lift the scope up and forward.

Really depends what you plan on doing with your Stag 10 and how you have it configured.

For low cost simple but reliable scopes with glass that I really like and a reticle I like, I tend to go with Burris.

I was planning on using one of my Burris E1 3-9X scopes in a quick release mount. However that has now changed....

The Stag 10 configured the way I have mine with a 20" hybrid contour (medium), light 12" handguard and Sopmod stock is capable of being used for hunting, tactical/target shooting. I'm still waiting for my barrel, they sent the stainless one instead of the nitride.

Anyways, the plan now is to use a Burris 3-15 Veracity FFP scope. It seems to suit the purpose I'm going for.

As it turns out.... Dante sports has a sale right now where you get an E1 4.5-14x for free with the Veracity. I have another AR308 that could use that scope. So it works out well.

Thanks for posting this. Seems like a pretty damn good deal. Ordered them up.

Vortex precision cantilever rings with a vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32. I thought I would like more magnification but this has been very nice for this rifle.

Canada post strike got me... was supposed to have all the parts for my build here but looks like
Mid week now.

The delivery guy told me he just got out of the main facility with his deliveries before the picket line went up. However I still have a wait since I had to send my barrel back. Looking at mid to late November now for the replacement. Also going through my parts bin none of my rings are high enough. You want 1.5” from rail to middle of the ring. 1.25” is the highest I have. So Ill have to order a mount or rings. I’m looking at beginning of December before this is complete.

Still a lot better than the two years it took me to source the parts for my AR10 SASS. The barrel in that case was also the hold up.

I will be interested in seeing which of the two scopes you choose for your Stag 10. I figured I would go with the veracity but the E1 is distinctly smaller and noticeable lighter.. i’m Still going with the veracity for the Stag due to the 3x low end vs 4.5 and FFP. Also the hybrid cap system. But that E1 offers a lot in a smaller lighter package..
