Thanks for the reply's. One of the main drawbacks seems to be the recoil and muzzle blast. I'm guessing because the the short barrel. I used one to down an elk at 120 yards in foot access only and had to pack it out on my back. Needless to say it was great being able to fit it in the side pouch of my pack without any struggle.

Hoyt, do you still own a 600 or sell long ago?
Thanks!
Boy, that's alot of meat damage, I guess there's always a bright side.![]()
I am currently making a 6.5 Rem Mag M77 MKII stainless mate for my .350.
The round is great! especially in a short throw 20" barrel! Dont do it - crazy price and for that model.
You can rebarrel any action you want and a stock for 2K or even less. Keep an eye on CGN, they come up now and then as well.
PM me for a build recommendation, happy to assist.
If you like the the 600 find a 673 in 350. Better stock, action, barrel contour and the vent rib is metal instead of plastic. I like 600/660/Mohawks but I don't see $2000 value in one.
