Recently bought a 22lr semi rifle and i kinda been a pig (to say the least:) ) on ammo.(i'm pissed i can't mod it to hold 1000 rounds:mad: ) Can anyone here living in the GTA tell me where you buy your bulk .22? I am making a trip to Basspro tomorrow to check it out as i've always got the best deals on 12gauge bulk there. I'd even mail order if the price was right. See ya!
Mike

Bass pro should have some. Also Lebarons usually always has bricks of 22lr ranging from $11 and up. They are located at Woodbine and hwy 407

The best deal at Bass Pro is the Remington Golden Bullets. About $14 IIRC.
Last couple of times I was there, they had nothing:(
I haven't made it over to Labaron's in years... but their catologue prices seem okay.
What about Al Flaherty's?
Around here I generally get Dyapoints from Wally World, Federal Champion from Crappy tire and Yellow Jackets at The Gun Room.

Does bassspro sell 5000+ boxes? I'm looking to buy from 5000 to 10000 rounds. like i said... I'M a PIG:D If anyone here lives near here i'd be willing to buy larger and split it. I'm sure i'll go through a few thou before the season's up

Le Baron's has some nice .22 LR to munch on, assuming you have no objections to Winchester ammo:

Al Flaherty's will generally give you a decent price on a brick of 40-grain solids of the American Eagle variety.

Bass Pro - nothing against them - always seems to be out of .22 LR whenever I phone. I know that they always SEEM to be expecting a shipment...

Okay, here's a fave of mine - Giovanni's Gun Shop, in North York. Right off of Dufferin and Wilson, he's a great guy, and he stocks stuff like CB Longs (please, please don't clean him out! I like 'em too!), and is generally a fun guy. He will NOT overcharge on repairs, and gives frank and truthful assessments about cost estimates, in my own experience, at least.

Head to Orillia for Ellwood Epps, they seem to have quantities of .22 LR from different brands.

Just some small ideas - I'm sure other folks have ithoughts about it, too. PM me if you'd like to know about the mail-order stuff that comes to your door.

Note: The local Wal-Marts do not seem to stock .22 LR, sadly enough.

Note 2: I'm told that Woodbridge Canadian Tire stores DO stock .22 LR - not sure what types or prices, though.

Note 3: I'm just clarifying what the other folks said, trying not to repeat too much...

Try asking at a local gun store if they will cut you a deal on 10 Bricks. I got 5000 rounds of Federal Champion's for $180 taxes in. by buying in bulk.

Found a deal on some great rounds. These burn fast and clean in my semi and shoot very straight.

Got 5000 Winchester XPERT HP 36g for under $200 all in at Accuracy plus in peterborough. Now bring on the varments!

Damn! I was in there back in May... didn't see this deal :(

They have an awesome deal on different types of CCI too but i was inclined to buy the Win XPERT HP because of the reputation. I'm amazed every time i go there how they as a small store can beat out larger stores like Bass Pro etc. on stuff like this. Bass Pro sells the cheap stuff in bulk for a LITTLE bit less but who needs that crap unless you like cleaning your gun every 200 rounds. :)

5000 rounds @ $200 = one brick @ $20.

Didn't Xpert sell for around 14 or 15 bucks a brick recently? I could have sworn that's what I paid for a few bricks at LeBaron's last year.

I saw boxes of something like 5,250 rounds of .22lr for about $130.00 at The Shooting Edge today...

I also just realized that somebody just said that there is a Wal*Mart in Uxbridge now... Wow, things sure do change...

Lemme know when they put one up in Cannington, Sunderland or Woodville...
