contracters and guns

these posts always turn into "how can i become a contracter" i have family that are in contracting in iraq and trust me you need at least 8 years mil service in the right areas + a impressive resume to boot

by the way you would think they would give there contractors more freedom in what they want to choose i mean there putting there lives on the line if the guy wants a ak give it to him

Isnt blackwater US citizens only? I beleive you need to try one of there subsidiaries that hires non-americans.

Triple Canopy also specifies US Citizens but I know Canadians who have worked for TC and Blackwater. Obviously your operational experience and qualifications, trg etc are deciding factors.

last trip in I used my Ruger 10/22 in an AK style stock. custom 35 round mags for it, 14 inch barrel. Could knock an insurgent off his camel at 200 paces, from the hip no less. Not sure what'll take next contract as I understand there is now a price on my head over there. something about sodomizing something or another. I'm sure it's a big misunderstanding, and once I explain to them that my real name is KevinB I am sure it'll all be sorted out.

Once you say your name is KevinB the price on your head will triple and all the vilage headmen will be after you for child support. :D:D:D

Don't forget the S&B ShortDot on the 10/22:D:D:D:D

The only contracting I do is for the fiancee :(

yea the ruger 10/22 is well known firearm usually the insurgents just run once they hear theres one in the area but what they really fear is the 17 HMR remington 597 its rep... is well known in iraq and afghan...

^yep the remington 597 shooting .17HMR is a force to be reckoned with.

I heard that all American A10 thunderbolts in the middle east have stopped using depleted uranium rounds and have switched over to select rimfire cartriges like .17HMR

truly a wicked round i think they are goin to have a new convention to ban the 17 hmr from combat its just too deadly

the best part of having my ID say KevinB, is going to be all the child support cases he's gonna get hit with. Man I've left a desert trail of fatherless children across 3 continents.....................
the best thing about using the Ruger is the recoil isn't too bad. When firing it full auto (Bill Ruger sent me a custom receiver designed for that, when I told him I was going over to protect Americans), anyhow as I was sayin, when firing full auto it can move you around a bit, but with practice you can keep it within a 5 ft beaten zone at 15yds. It's amazing. I'd thought about going to one of the 17's but the extra recoil due to their higher velocity was just too much for me to deal with. I also have some morals, and killing someone in the way a .17 does, well it's too much for me man. I'd have nightmares after having to see bodies torn apart like that.

BTW.....for the glory hounds....all my guys had their life insurance cancelled and health benefits to boot. One guy is having some real problems with his bank as the life insurance on his mortgage is no longer valid..

One would want to talk to Foreign Affairs about the legalities of working in the "mercenary industry" as it relates to ones citizenship. Used to be they stripped it as fast as they could.

Geez, it would be even worse if it was fatherless children.

I think that's where the sodomizing charges come in!;)

yeah if they WHERE working as mercenaries then that really could be a problem....

to bad they aren't eh...

they are working as security contractors protecting, people. places and things.... all defensive , to be a mercenary they would have to be undertaking offensive roles.

Stop interjecting facts and reason into people's argument!

A good book on this is "Licensed to Kill" Robert Young Pelton, Crown Publishers, 2006.
This is the same guy who wrote the "Worlds Most Dangerous Places " series.
