Heckler & Koch MR223A3 question

Correct that’s what it is

That is a damn nice setup. How does that compare to a regular Comp/Brake? I assume it diffuses the blast and directs it forward instead of the side and up? Does it still mitigate perceived recoil better than a birdcage?

Correct that’s exactly what it does & yes it’s more effective than the standard birdcage

Is it fairly flashy? Or does it do a decent job of flash suppression as well. The 2 chamber comp I mean. The a2 in my experience has done a good job of flash suppression in my experience.

Flash suppression is really also determined by the quality of the ammunition you buy, an actually 2 chamber comp will have lots of flash and adding a blast shield only magnifies that with all the unburnt powder many times.

Hmmmmm i might have to hunt down a pws fsc91 then. Looks like a fsc 556 with 15x1 threading. And I love how those work.

I am not sure if I want to keep the A2 but if I do get something different I like the idea of diverting the blast, My Armalite is ruthless blast wise.

Im looking to get a new mount for my Nightforce NX8, I was going to choose the Spuhr sp3001(30mm - 1.18in) or sp3026(32mm - 1.26in). My Larue SPR 1.5 (1.5in) mount is a bit tall for my liking. From what Spuhr's site said I should take the Diameter of the objective with lens cover and divide by two to get a Minimum Theoretical Height (45.3/2=22.65mm) So I should be able to go as low as 23mm and still clear the rail, correct?

What Height have you guys gone with for your LPVO's? Also the Drum/Diopter on rear sits 29.6mm by my rough measurement. I get a really nice cheek weld at that height so I was hoping I could get a mount to sit that height. Spuhr mounts are not cheap and I do not want to screw up and get the wrong height. Kind of sucks but the Drum is in the way and I have to remove it to drop on the NX8 or Elcan cause they look cool on the rifle.

Damn that looks great. Where did you source the Surefire 3-prong? Also do you know if the 3-prong works with the blast warden?

The 3 prong mates no differently than a 4prong, or the Warcomp to their suppressors/blast shields. It should absolutely work with the Blast Warden.

Got my SMR today

Holy #### this thing is tight. I lubed up the barrel nut and still had a hard time installing it. Feels like if I want to clean the gas system, I must take out the cross bolt and fire the rifle a few times for the handguard to loosen so I can take it off.
