How long will Bushnell make me wait for my scope servicing?

The last scope I sent to bushnell for repairs took them over 6 months to fix, then the retards sent it to the other side of the country (Montreal to be exact) to a store over there. lucky for me they also sent the letter with it that I had sent them explaining the issues as well as my contact info. So then i ended up paying the shipping to get it shipped back to me in B.C. to find out that they forgot to replace the turret covers..... took another 3 months to get them shipped here. By the time it was all said and done I had sold every bushnell product I owned and upgraded to leupold... I guess I should have just spent the $ to start with and then I wouldn't have had all the headach to go with it.

Another happy customer.

I spoke with Bushnell again today and they have completed the repairs on my scope. It had a loose erector (gotta keep it away from my .375 H&H carbine!) as well as a parallax condition. Both issues have been repaired under warranty. I paid $10 for the shipping and they say I should receive it by next week.

So overall, they received it June 25. I started to call them steadily this week and they bumped it ahead in the order. If I receive it by the end of next week, say July 27, that would make the turnaround about 5 weeks.

The lesson here is that you should call them on their 800-361-5702 line and press them for service.

I'll report on whether or not the scope is working well once I get it back.

They recieved mine on Jun. 5, Got a letter today that parts are no longer avail. It's an Elite 4000, but for a mere $443 they will send me a new one. I phoned them to advise they should return mine with the bent tube and I'll put the $ towards a leupold. Mark

I would:evil:....especially if that's the best they will do for ya
I refuse to own anymore Bushnell products at all...mine took 4 months,

358, Bushnell is large enough to handle the volume, but their product prices dictate slower service to still make a profit. Leupold is a premium brand. Their price point is higher so they can afford to have faster service while still taking a nice profit.

If you want to pay the extra money so you can get your scope back 2 weeks faster, go with a Leupold.

Bushnell
Cheaper parts, cheaper labour, and cheaper product are why bushnell's are priced cheaper... They should price their product accordingly to keep their customer happy... If A company is lacking hugely in one area, their price doesnt nor should it justify a lack in service.
for 2-5.00 more on each product sold, they could add a bit of cusotmer service, and compete in this area...
But their not...
One more thing leupold figured out light years ahead of some of their competition.
Leupold Better quality, better product, better service...

Seems like a no brainer to me.
I've only got a few Bushnell products left...

Just tested the scope at the range.

Works fine, scope adjustments are accurate and consistent. It's shooting 1 1/4" at 100 yards off a front rest - forgot my sandbags again.

I have no complaint with Bushnell's service on this scope. Just call them on their 800 line and make sure that they service you in a timely fashion.

Good to hear geologist! Glad to hear they polished the turd and got you back in action :p :D Just razzin ya of course :).

I hope it holds out for you, and if it does thats great! I just know that I will never have to call that 1-800 number again, But thats my choice.

I want to get that sight to you if I don't need it, somehow I will try and fit it in. Sheep season is coming very soon, just spent 4 hours packing :runaway:.

I will let you know when I get my a$$ to the range, time is limited now, but I will try...

If you don't like it don't read it, and quit F*cking replying

At least I have an opinion with some actual experience to back it up, not just hear say.

I've used Bushnels for year's and never had any problems. And yes you do have an opinion. I just don't like hearing it over and over again...

So then don't read it, simple. This thread was started about Bushnells service department to which you have no experience with, but yet you keep responding.

Bah, waste of time. If I wanted to chat with someone who knew nothing of the firearms industry I will go talk with my wife, at least she has better comebacks.

Priceless.

Another fantastic comeback

All this crap from a guy who posts this today in another post.

Goes to show you get what you pay for. I did the same with a Loomis float rod last year. No questions asked brand new rod in a week. When you buy cheaper equipment your loosing in the long run.

It is the same with optics, one day maybe you will figure that out.

I have figured it out. That's why I buy the best I can afford either Bushnell, Leupold or for that matter Loomis Rods. You better stay out of the indoor range those lead fume's are getting the best of you.
