FX9 preorders gone bad at Wolverine supplies

I pre ordered day 1 with wolverine and paid in full.

When the price increase happened they called me and let me know that they were going to honour my price because i paid in full.

AND they tossed in a bad ass shirt with my gun as well!!!

They were amazing to deal with, and as far as pre orders go it was pretty dang smooth for me.

I cancelled my Fx-9, not because of the price increase but because I got impatient of waiting and wanted something else. Wolverine called me upon the first price increase and that gave me the option for a full refund hassle free. Wolverine was nothing but professional about the situation and understanding that the first price increase would cause some customers to cancel. Out of their control

You’ve had issues with the Wolverin crew???
They are in the top 5 in Canada if ....if they can’t make you happy there is no hope for your sad sorry ass!!!!
Man what a bunch of whiners.

I have had issues with this retailer in the past for other orders and I would not ever consider giving them my money again.

That's literally been a disclaimer on the website since they started taking deposits...
Admin fees may be charged on canceled orders, it all depends on the circumstances. We try and treat all our customers fairly, if you cancel a special order because your wife found out, you have no sympathy from me, and we will charge you a restocking fee. I jest :), seriously talk to us, we are human. For example we had a customer with an exspenive gun on a lay-a-way plan, he called me to tell me that he would have to cancel as the transmission had gone in his truck which he needed for work, he thought he would loose the payments he had made (not our standard policy) but he called to advise me so I could relist the rifle. I returned his courtesy by giving him a full refund. Wolverine is here for the "long haul" why would try and make a quick buck when we are looking for long term customers.

The following statement applies to all dealers, not just Wolverine:
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Ive seen enough pre-orders go south. Just dont get involved and youll have no reason to cry

$1100 bucks for a FX9 considering what else is on the market is still a fair price people. If u want a $850 PCC go buy a PC9, but good luck putting an AR trigger in it :p

I just don't do pre-orders, so there is no disappointment. I don't pre-order anything else in life, it just seems like a super dumb idea. If firearms retailer's want to bring in new product, bring it in, don't expect me to fill in as a business loan while you wait for months to get your product.

I got burned on the TS Orange preorder, I don't find Wolverine to have acted in a way that was unacceptable. I realize that there is only so much they can do once it gets to a certain point, but that whole year plus wait left a particularly foul taste in my mouth and I won't be repeating that again.

I think Wolverine is as upfront as they can be with the information they have, I don't think they have anything to gain by acting otherwise. It's unfortunate to see that another group is experiencing problems with a new product, but all the more reason I won't be preordering anything anytime soon.

I can assure you we do not need the payments from pre- orders to finance our business. I regard that as a very precarious practice, we are always in a position to repay in cash, all prepayments if the deal didn't work out, for example the law could always change before we delivered to the end user.

Right now we have committed orders to manufactures for several thousand firearms, in some cases we have already paid for these firearms, this is our risk, one of the cost of doing buissness, one of several reasons why we need to have a margin to cover cost. Here at Wolverine we have always tried to operate as transparently as possible and keep our customers informed. We also work in a very competive cut throat market with minimium margins so understandable we can not always lay all our cards on the table if we are to survive. If at any times a customer has concerns call us, ask for my self, or my son Matt, (I am technically retired!) and Matt is running Wolverine, and we will attempt to explain the situation to your satisfaction.

I absolutely agree. Wolverine Supplies were complete pros, and top tier Canadian Firearm Merchants.

Pre order threads always serve to remind us that there are many people that don't have the mental capacity to be involved in pre ordering a firearm.

Lol yup. I am probably one of them. I'm like that kid in the back seat "are we there yet?..." But its just because I am excited. People over dramatize everything on CGN, if one rifle out of 10,000 breaks that manufacturer is crap,if one preorder Price gets increased that company BRINGING THE FIREARM TO CANADA FOR YOU is a crook.... We live in a society of complainers. Nothing is good enough.

except the PC9 DOESN'T need an Ar trigger, you can get a JR if you want to do that,LOL

2 things. suppliers never have enough stock and a strong US dollar has most likely changed the price. Thats my guess
