CZ Scorpion Evo Thread - Pictures, Videos, Reviews, Range Reports, Accessories, etc.

I'm a brand new EVO owner. I haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet. I have some questions:
1. Which grip upgrade do you guys recommend? The Apex Tactical? The Paske Pathfinder? The Yeti Wurks Switchback(gen 3)?
2. My EVO did not come with a forward hand stop. I fear that I may blow off a finger or two. What forward hand stops and/or foregrip do you guys recommend?
3. I see some of the images in this thread show EVOs with covered front rails. How did you guys cover them?
4. I have shoulder injury and I want to minimize recoil. Can anyone recommend a recoil reducing pad that fits the stock? Can anyone recommend a good recoil reducing brake?

Thanks.

I can comment on two of your questions.

I found the pathfinder to be the best grip out there. It's size is similar to a BCM mod 3 grip which is what I run on all of my AR's.
If you want one, I have one I'll be listing shortly. Save you the cross border shipping as I don't believe anyone sells them in Canada.

As for the recoil, this guy has literally zero felt recoil. Atleast for me I found it to be extremely light and unnoticeable.

Purchased a Gen 3 Switchback from YetiWurks. Definitely would have to say switching out the factory grip is one of the best upgrades you can do. Improves the look and overall feel of the gun.
Next will have to be mag release and probably charging handle.

When Yetiworks ships to Canada, have you guys been hit with Duty or brokerage fees ?
Was gonna order from AA, but shipping was $26 for a grip and spring kit.

I am not sure about others, but my order wasn't. Yetiwurks shipped it out on a Sunday, it went from USPS to Canada Post and was delivered to my community mailbox 5 days later.

Do any of you guys have a problem lowering the front sight to zero closer than 25 yards?

I'll be placing a order through ww.shooterselement.com in early January, so if anyone in Edmonton or area wants in we can save a bit on shipping.

Yeti Works Switchback grips are delayed everywhere right now as their mold has had issues, resupplying suppliers in January

Mine was dead on at 20 yards from factory. I’d say there’s still adjustment in the sights.
I ordered a paske grip to try. I’ll probably sell my switchback. I’ve seen a few pics of a possible magpul scorpion grip that look very promising.

Every time I go to get one of these, I can't get past the 5rd. limit. If you could get 10rd mags I would have one in a heartbeat. I have a colt 6991 with a 10.5 barrel and I guess it has me spoiled, but I think I see one of these (the restricted version) in my near future. They just look nasty and feel good in the hand

Has anyone converted their scorpions to NR with Herron Arms?
I'm looking to replace the 16" but, I am curious about what barrel specs others have done, quality, reliability, cost, etc..

I was thinking about that, and although I'm not 100% what converting it would cost, I think I would be roughly out about the same amount of money. For what I would lose selling the one I have now

Most NR conversions will run you $500-1000 + shipping both ways and an extended wait. You will be far ahead to sell now and pick up a pre-order for a factory NR scorpion for $1250.

I have been messing with my new 3D printer / CAD and whipped up this right-side safety lever delete. Turned out pretty well I think.

Got an adapter for the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 to accept the ACR folding stock.
Great machining, fits perfectly, and works well. Only draw back is you cant use the factory backup sights, you need to raise everything to AR15 height.
