Horrible. Ive always been dead set against suicide, but my first thought as i read that.... help that was 400kms away.... left alone at that gruesome scene with his wife and childs dead bodies.... I could completely understand if he had turned his gun on himself.
Absolutely terrible. May they rest in peace, and i Hope the man can find some kind of peace as well

Rare for a bear to kill two people in one location... I suspect that something went down before the bear got there... unless it broke into a cabin or something of the sort. Will be interesting to hear the details.

Mother and a small child, they'd be together. Bears can be predatory, some people forget that.

Brutal ending for the family. My guess from reading the story is she almost made it home. Her husband finished the bear off as he approached their cabin. Just saw grizzly tracks a few days ago behind our place. Did not figure they would be out and about anymore?

boar can take a while before denning. one was roaming close downtown end of january one winter.

I have a 3 month old at home & it really struck a nerve.
