I grew up on a farm in S. Ontario. We had horses, lots of horses and guess who had to muck the stalls.
Mostly Saddlebreds, some Standardbreds, and other mixed. My grandfather bought an old barrel racer. Nice horse, but it was a bit crazy to ride.

Ha, you guessed it Noel. He showed me his handy work, and yes that is where my inspiration came from. I used hides that I've got kickin' around and made up my own lacing. I must admit, I like his work better, but I was just messing around, it was too frikin' hot to go outside. I was saddled up at 5.00 am to move the bulls out on the grazing lease, came home, hot tub and a brew, and played with guns and leather....life is good.![]()
