STAG-10 In the Wild!

My SA-20 needed a big brother so I used up some AR parts I had and went with a more retro look for this Stag 10 receiver set. Finally put it together after the 20” Barrel arrived. Still deciding which optic I am going to go with.

I was scrolling through this thread thinking "Does anyone NOT have a quadrail on their rifle? I want to see this look like an AR10"

It's beautiful btw, I'm starting to want one.

Oh man, I've been putting off ordering one of these because so many other things are coming out. But these pics may just put me over the edge.

Which firearms are you referring to on the horizon? On the lookout for some black NR myself. Thanks

So many personalized versions...

I’m still waiting for proper tool to finish my build. This whole non-standardization of the AR-10 platform is a total PITA!

The Stag nut is AR15 pattern but only certain wrenches fit. Some aftermarket handgaurds use a larger pattern nut... have to buy two set of wrenches to change the hand guard. The flat top isn’t compatable with certain hand guard. Oi!

Atleast Stag went with the SR-25/DPMS Gen 1 pattern as your options open up a bit. Still a PITA, lol.

dont buy any wrench. buy the brownells reaction rod (connects to a 1/2 wrench) and put the barrel nuts in the vise. it didnt damage anything. I had a dpms barrel nut wrench and it didnt fit so i tried.....

Going old school... except for the PRI Delta handguard.

My time to contribute. Just got her back last night.

6.5 Creedmore Stag-10.
Full cerakote treatment. Hesitated between going full FDE or two tone. Glad I went two tone.
Geissele 2 stage trigger, everything else you can see on pics.
Should hit the range the week.

For some reason I can't add pics direct today so here is the link...

Got her out today, fired 25 rds of S&B 140Gr 6.5 Creedmore. Ran the rifle well lubed, zero issue. smooth and accurate.

I am wanting to buy a Stag Arms13.5 MLOK rail for for Stag-10.

Called ARMS east, sent emails, and PM on here..no response.

Anyone have a source for the subject part?

In august Barry at AE told me the only handguards they'll get from Stag are the 16.5". I can't find a good reason for that but he didn't explain.

If I'm not mistaken Stag just buys-rebrand Midwest Industries handguards. You can buy MI from Wolverine and Brownells. But the 13.5" seems like a Stag exclusive. The 12" is actually over 12.5" to cover a rifle tube and not cover the gas block.

We were told that only the 16.5" was order-able at the time. The Stag Arms rail is not rebranded MI, it is made by Stag Arms in CT. We are asking for 13.5" as well.

Good to hear about the 13.5 hand guards.

Is it an ITAR issue or something? Curious as to why they would not offer them up to Canadians...

I recently bought a xcr-m, bcl102 and stag10. All shoot amazing and I had to invest in a short base die from Redding to get my handloads to chamber properly. The stag10 shoots without jams. It's one of my favorite semi autos in 308 now. The bcl102 is still lots of fun but I would sell or trade it to add upgrades to the stag10.
