Chipped slide serration

if i pay for NIB thats the way i like it, yes after a few trips to the range it may look like this but? sharpie does not cut it

Yeah i now know sharpie does not work sadly haha

I can see why you'd be annoyed by something like this on a brand new pistol. If it bothers you, send it back. Having said that, CZ's fit and finish is so-so at best. There's no guarantee that the replacement won't have a cosmetic flaw.

Huh really? In my mind CZ product we’re top notch. I had not though about all the restricted unregistering/registering, ATT and all. it is clearly not worth it. Even more if i could end up with another small defect like this one.

Why not just contact the dealer and send the slide back, there would be no paperwork or registration to deal with

I'd want a new slide or 100$ refund / in store credit if it were me

What am i gonna do with 100$ of in store credit and a pistol without its slide? Its not like cz shadow 2 optic ready slide we’re as common as glock slide lol

And again that me being petty but i collect milsurp and deep down i want the serial on my pistol to match lol
At this point ill just deal with it. Id rather have a nick on the slide than a mismatched one

Totally agree.
I'd be sending it back. I like to keep my stuff in the best shape possible.
If my guns develop some wear or dings over time, that's not a big deal because I know I did it.
But I'm not paying the same price for one that comes with a ding when all others come mint in box.

I’m not saying that the gun itself is crap but the machining is a bit crude. Look at how a CZ is machined and then compare it to, say, a Sig or HK. There’s a big difference.

Wish i had something like a P226 to get a good look side by side. But yes you are right i just went a put it aside my M&P and the edge and curve are a bit more “clean” on the S&W so i can only imagine when put aside some real high end pistol like Sig or HK

You will send them the slide, and they will send you a slide off another shadow 2, they can swap it from another pistol and send you a new one.

What Iam saying is "if I was going to keep the one with a dented" I'd want some sort of compensation, 100$ would be good for me in this situation

Make more sense trying to get the 100 instore credit that way lol. Even if they wanted too they are out of stock on the Shadow 2 OR so a replacement slide is not an option without a few months wait.

Arrggg decision decision. Going to sleep on it. On one end i want it to be mint but on the other if i send it back replacement would be in multiple month. The 100$ instore credit is a good idea too

So i contacted the dealer and i did manage to get an instore credit that was used right away to purchase another new pistol :) . They also offered a full refund but im quite happy with the deal i got. Way more simple than sending the pistol back and all

I would ask the dealer for a credit for the inconvenience. You can also go right to CZ if the dealer won't do anything. I'm sure they don't want to see sub par finishes getting through quality control.

The in store credit must of been pretty good ! Was it at least the 100$ to were thinking?

And congrats on a second handgun purchase as well!

A little bit less but im happy with it, ended up with one hell of a deal on the Norinco 1911. It should be a nice one to try the 1911 platform and see if i like it

No need to go to cz as the dealer was helpful

So the pic is from a BNIB pistol never fired never went to the range. Would you mind such damage on a new pistol? Or would you send it back? Is it even something that can be repaired?

Part of me feel that caring for this is petty, but another part of me feel like, well it is brand new it should look brand new

Feel and thought?

I would not except that on my Colt Revolver, however that is not for competition or heavy duty use like that CZ. I personally would not sweat it, but that is just me.
