I'd be tempted to try some bronze wool on the metal very carefully and see what it looks like but do not touch the stock with anything. Any sort of heavy cleaning will definitely be detrimental to the value. A dry rag if you want to knock off the dust but any chemicals that remove grime and brighten the wood is not good.
Less is more when it comes to cleaning a rifle like this.
I haven't had time to dig into the marking either but will get around to it and post up what I find. I wish I was more knowledgeable in this area but its outside my collecting range even tho I find these depot builds and reworks fascinating.
