The TAVOR

The left hand conversion requires a left hand bolt, as the ejector is on the other side. The conversion can be done on about 5 minutes. When we ship we will be asking which side the customer wants the gun for. Bolts will also be available seperatly for those wanting both.

Poor IDF guys... must be so annoying to receive some hot brass on their neck and down their throat !
For a gun desgined for CQB, where cross-shoulder transition can save your life, this 5-minute-gunsmith-job to switch ejection is really an issue.

It's really a bummer that downward ejection is not possible on magazine-fed semi-auto actions (is this true ? i've only seen belt-fed and pump actions with downward ejection...).
Looking at the Tavor video on CanAm website, ejection looks to be pretty much horizontal. It would have been nice for the Tavor to have a brass deflector that sends the cases more downwards.

Anyway, for us "range warriors" doing action shooting games, guess we'll have to live with it.

The PS90 is downward ejection :D.

This is the only video I have without the brass catcher on the bottom, so you can actually see the brass drop.

There are always trade-offs with any design. Fortunately, these are not situations our average customers will contend with.

Please send me an email to info@CanadaAmmo.com so I can get a list going. Looks like the MARS will be more popular than I thought.

I think what I (Me Myself) will need is just that little "telescope" mounted behind red-dot M21. I figure that covers everything I need. Non-restricted rifle means it will be taken for some small game hunting and the way I see it red dot is the way to go when I stalk. If I sit on treestand somewhere on a clearcut I need mugnifying scope. Snap that scope on and you are good to go, no need for sighting shots. That telescope shouldn't be too expensive I think, and the way it attaches if I remember correctly is just snap-on kind of thing.

Are you referring to a Trisight X3?

I suspect it is just a magnifier and not a sight, so you will need a MARS, or what have you in addition to that. My suspicion is that it won't be cheap, either. The Aimpoint equivalent is about $800 here in Canada and you need an EoTech or an Aimpoint sight to go with it.

One last kicker: from what I've seen the Israeli stuff seems to be more expensive than what is already available to us so be prepared for some sticker shock. :D

Gothmog, I am referring to what they call "Day Telescope X3 magnification", have look here http://www.canadaammo.com/pdf/tavor21.pdf

scroll down there is picture of that neat little "telescope" mounted in a row behind red dot self luminous whatever its called (M21?). I guess we are astronomers from now on. Anyways, whatever technical name for it I think that little thing is all I need. Put it on and you can still-hunt. Take it off and go tracking anymal down. Cool.

Yeah ... it looks like a Trisight in the pics. :)

I don't believe it has a reticle, that might be a bit of a disadvantage. ;)

I'd be curious as to the landed retail price, too. I wouldn't be surprised if its $1000+ all by its lonesome.

Will you have the sharpshooter version? Also will you be importing the Israeli made steel tavor mags? Do they fit the AR magwell with that curve to them?

Thats curious as the HK mags for the L85A2 are more curved than the older RG and colt. I dont think they changed the mag well for it but it apparently improves feeding.

the pictures from the PDF looked different then those I seen in your pictures. I guess they switched to a standardized style.

Is the sniper coming or are all the choices still the 2 optic variants and the shorty?

No Sniper plans as yet. The pics look the same to me, maybe just the lighting.
