The TAVOR

If you order it with the MARS, will it turn on/off with the safety switch? Or is that only on the models that have the MARS permanantly attached?

I'm only going off what I saw on 'futureweapons', so maybe the civvy model is different...

woot, so it seems that there is not only me who is worries about the optics on the tavor... felt like a one man battle when I was asking about the tavor's mounts and m21...

from what i found out from CanadaAmmo:
M21 mounts on a 1913 rail
You could take off the M21 and sell it. It mounts to a 1913 rail.
It can mount other optics
The 1913 is standard also known as Picatinny/Weaver, so pretty much anything as long as the rings are high enough to clear the BUIS.
No adapter is needed, just a standard 1913 riser to clear the BUIS.
Magazine release and how the Magazine drops
The mag release is a paddle in front of the mag and yes, they drop free. There is a much larger discussing on the public demo shoot we had with the tavor, with many opinions from those who shot it.
how optics are mounted
You can see the "pad" that the M21 sits on has two legs, one front , one back. Those sit on 1913 mounts just below the level of the plastic. The other option is to remive the M21 from the pad and mount a strip of 1913. This what I would do.
M21 battery life
Usable life of a Tritium sight will be in excess of 15 years

Yes, the rails are available. No prices as yet. We will have accessories prices in the fall (bipods, rails, a-oo-ga horns, gold trim, etc)

Also, for those asking about the FRT# it is 126799. It will be in the system on Friday.

Ok thanks. This stupid rifle won't leave my thoughts, running out reasons to say no.;):)

Dind't read all the post, too much and i didn't catch the beginning but, if it accept 40mm luncher, since the rifle is NON - RESTRICTED, what about a 8.5 in barrel NON - RESTRICTED shotgun to replace the luncher, 2 cool gun staked togetter ?? will have to work on it

Any opinion, sugestion ??? mabye already said ??

I will get the IR for the MARS - so you can lase those racoons at night if you have to do pest control work with NV at night. Visible laser is useless.

(disclaimer: I assume pest control is ok at night)

you don't have to go buy a GEN3-Gen 1 And Gen2 ranges from 500 bucks to 2000 bucks. Besides, you aren't getting GEN3 out of the US anyways.

G3 is available in Canada. I forget the company name for now but I do know that they manufacture somewhere in southern Ontario. they do thermal hybrid too.
