what about $6000+ for a G36? $4000 for a 308 M78?
it is only gouging when it is an item that is NEEDED . otherwise it is the going rate.
Can't tell you how many people have offered me LARGE money to get them PS90's, FS2000's, G36's, COBB 50's, CHEYTAC's, etc.. When something isn't available then people force the price up trying to get it. But State Department won't approve export permits for this stuff so regardless of what people are willing to pay for it we can't supply the requests.
Colt is a similar situation... deliveries from COLT are almost non-existent in the US... the few who have them know it's a sellers market. Many are advertising LE6920's but in fact are shipping the buyers AR6920's. Add to that the difficulties in getting approved export permits for Colt Rifles and this results in the situation we have in Canada today... it's been a long time since new LE6920's found their way to Canada.
It's quite frustrating... one of my suppliers has over 1,000 PS90's in inventory that they want to sell us, but we can't get export permits for them.
