Try and find some more tacticool looking NR 22lr rifles with more then 10 rounds ? There's like 5 here. Even if they can only hold 10 still not many good options for my tacticool 22 needs.

Something like the M&P 15-22 Sport would be good.. 25 round magazines for rimfire goodness available.

I like the compact bolt gun with the 12inch barrel, its 21 and a bit inches so a stock or brace would make it non restricted if I'm correct

Whoops, my bad. Out of curiosity, what makes the the M&P Restricted, but the GSG STG 44 .22 replica non-restricted?

According to a recent press release from German Sport Guns’ Canadian distributor, Blue Line Solutions, the much-awaited German company’s rimfire take on the infamous German STG 44 rifle has arrived in Canada and is non-restricted. Here’s how the rifle is described by German Sport Guns:

“A faithful .22lr caliber semi-automatic reproduction of the infamous “Sturmgewehr 44″ Assault Rifle developed by the Germans during WWII. The GSG STG 44 features a weight of 9.5lbs, a 17.2” barrel, an overall length of 37.2” and real solid wood furniture. Shipped with a 25 round capacity magazine.”

Nevermind, the Internet had the answer, the RCMP considers the M&P 15-22 a M-16 variant, so the rifle is restricted, and because the 25 round magazine can be used in a .22 pistol, its prohibited.

I wonder how hard it would be for an innovative gun distributor partnered with an innovative manufacturer to modernize the GSG STG 44 non-restricted .22 with a top rail and m-lok handguard?
