Which would you choose? Ruger PC Carbine, JR Carbine, Beretta CX4, Kel Tec Sub 2000?

Which NR pistol carbine to choose?

I think I should have a pistol caliber non-restricted carbine. Most likely in 9mm but I would consider 45acp.

I think I'm leaning strongest to JR Carbine in a take down version because it's AR looking, and cause screw liberals, and because I can pick 9mm or 45acp (and even rebarrel to change my mind later from whichever I choose)

I'm furthest from considering the CX4 because it looks like the most complicated teardown and only uses Beretta magazines. The Ruger is in the middle cause it is so ugly and the Kel Tec is so plastic

What would you say to influence a choice?
 
I have both the ruger and beretta and I have owned the fx-9 as well. The only thing i find better about the ruger is the trigger and the price. I found the fx9 a bit awkward, it was very front end heavy.

I absolutely love my keltec sub2000 but you're right it's all plastic. It's $300 gun that costs $900 and isn't designed to be shot a lot in my opinion. Emphasis is on its takedown
 
I'm 100% for the JR Carbine. I have not handled the take down model, but i'm sure it's all the same. If you own any Glock's it would defiantly safe you some $$$ on mags or potentially rounds if they're in the same caliber.
 
Have you handled the Beretta? I was all set to buy one but the comb is too high for me to use the sights it comes with.
 
My jrc has never failed even a week strapped to the front rack on my atv with over 600 miles of gravel roads and logging roads and swamps. At times youd never guess it was black. Washed off in creeks it never missed a beat. Its very accurate and feels like a real gun
The ruger is so ugly it makes the savage axis look good.
The keltec is just a pain in the ass to shoot. Either turn your head sideways or have the butt practically over your shoulder. Assessories are way to expensive.
The beretta is very hollow sounding to me and i dont think it would take the beating the just right can
 
The CX4 is built like a tank, it is accurate and will take a beating and keep on working. I have two and they have seen thousands of rounds. The triggers aren’t the best though - I replaced both with SP upgrades but that’s not actually “necessary”

Stick a red dot on it, load up on cheap Promag magazines, buy a case of ammo and don’t bother cleaning it until the case is empty. And when you clean it, takedown is easy.
 
The Rugers look like they have everything going for them... but they are just so....ugly. I might get a Ruger and love it, parents do love their ugly kids afterall hahaha

The Beretta would get my vote if it meant something.
Beretta for the win for ease of use, assembly , cleaning and the ambi. safety and ejection.

I voted for the Ruger, but I must say my sub 2000 has shot over 1000 rounds without a single failure, and the first 500 rounds without cleaning.
 
I bought a used JRC in 40 S&W last year and I am happy with it. No issues at all, even with KCI mags. The Ruger and the FX9 were not yet available when I bought this. I looked at the Keltec and it just wasn't what I wanted. The Beretta looked to me like the sights would make it difficult to run a scope (my eyes are not good enough to shoot iron sights any more). The TNW was an option, but I found a good deal on the JRC first

I have the ruger, the beretta and have owned a JR...

The JR was in 45acp and fired out of battery (injury), would never own one again, although maybe in 9mm they are fine.
The beretta is utterly fantastic. Accurate and comfortable, all the controls are well placed. I never have liked the look all that much but I have grown to LOVE it. Even the fact that the mags load through the grip so there isn't a mag hanging out to catch on things. I even like the little rubber rib that runs the length of the gun, just a little extra for wet hand grippage. They did a great job on that gun.
The Ruger is newer for me, have had it out twice, and it seems quite good. I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't break down though. No cleaning and 300 rounds and it's still running. I'm just going to keep running it until it fails somehow. Accuracy is good with a simple red dot, I was ~2moa with 124gr fmj ammo. I don't know if a scope would tighten that up any or not. It's definitely 1MOS (minute of squirrel) so I'm happy. The stock is really really sturdy, doesn't feel hollow like the stock on the 10/22 takedown at all BUT it's also a lot heavier. Final thing, the fluting on the barrel works, I shot a lot of ammo and the barrel stayed cool. Very decent offering from Ruger.
Kriss Vector: Gen 1 had tons of issues, sold it, but I have heard good things about the gen 2's in 9mm
Lastly, my favourite plinker is the M1 carbine. I reload for it and just love that gun.

...all my opinion, but long live the NR plinkers :)

Also, the scorpion is NR as well, at least it will be when they show up. I have to assume they will be fairly decent.
