Excellent purchase. I'm hoping for this same firearm this year but have something else more pressing at this time and it's not a firearm...
Anyway, was all set to buy one Friday on my day off at Cabela’s (was $779) only to check the website to find it went back up to $839.
I find the look of the Ruger intriguing, and I imagine if they become popular enough, someone is going to bring new stocks to market. Also, I think it was Hickcock 45 saying in his 1st review that the rumour was Ruger has plans to make caliber swappable in the future.

The PC Carbine is going to run away with this category and put the rest of them out to pasture. It's combination of features, price and yes Looks is hard to beat. For me I like the fact that it looks like a "normal" gun. I didn't want anything too radical looking. It will be the next 10-22 in this category.
This Ruger PC Carbine is an awful lot of fun... I have to start concentrating more heavily on "fun guns..." As a hunter primarily, I am constantly drawn to rifles and shotguns configured for hunting... but with so many options, covering exactly the same scenarios, I should be focusing more on guns that are designed for pure shooting enjoyment... particularly considering how much time I spend at the range. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with the PC Carbine at this price point.
