Well just checked it out 223, 1-9 twist...deal breaker for me....hey Remington, if youre going to put a 8 twist on the 6.5 creedmoor, why the F only a 9 twist on the 223?

I wish companies would stop putting 14 twists on their 22-250's.

"Tradition" perhaps? Same reason why the 22-250 carries a 1:14, which seems to be because that twist is optimized for bullets lighter than 55 grs which were what was originally used.

There remains a belief that twists faster than 1:9 will "over stabilize" the 55 gr and lighter bullets.

I’m giggling out loud because I’m old enough to remember when Remmy introduced the 788 and they all shot like a house on fire. Magazine feed, inexpensive price point, medium heavy barrels that shot like match barrel rigs.

Rumour has it that the many lugged Cinderella 788 was selling more than the flagship 700......hahahahaha

The rest is history....

Many of my clients are loving this platform, they can get into the PR game easily and affordability is key!!

Cheers, Barney
