The 30-30 club, are you in?

Yep, my father-in-law gave me an old Model 94 that has been sitting in a locker for years. Serial number dates it to some time between 1950-1960. It was passed down to him and he figures it hasn't been fired in 25 years or so, but the rifle is in fantastic shape. Haven't had a chance to fire it yet, but I can't wait to get it out.

These are mine.

12 Levers including a never fired Winchester 94 wrangler with large loop lever in 30-30, Winchester 94 "Pre 64" in 30-30, 1958 Marlin 336RC in 30-30, 1960 Marlin 336SC in 32 Special...all mint. Plus various other calibers. But would like to find a nice Marlin 336 in 35 Rem and a Winchester "Pre 64" 32 Special to add to the collection.

I got my hands on the new Barnes 30-30 190gr Original flat nosed soft point bullet. Nice heavy bullet option for the 30wcf!

3030 is the best cartridge goin!
i load mine with a 195gr cast bullet at about 1700fps, i get 1.5moa with the load if i do my part.
last deer shot with that load was at a measured 90m, it penetrated both shoulders and took out a big chunk of the spine, hardly any meat damage.

First rifle was a Winchester model 94 30-30. It's one of my favourite rifles to shoot. Also have a 300 savage in lever action.

I am the proud owner of a Marlin 30-30. Love the gun. Probably never sell it.

Kind of a funny story. Marlin found a crate of old (built in 1984) 30-30s in a warehouse. They had been sitting there for a couple of decades. They didn’t meet the safety standards when they were found, so they shipped the whole crate to Canada. I was fortunate to buy one brand new, still in the packing grease. I love it. Such a great rifle.
