Just wanted to share this since there are more people here that have posted to have FTE issues
with their Zastava's in 22lr.
I love the rifle; affordable, all steel (even mags), walnut stock & nice blued finish but hated the unreliable extraction.
Tried polishing the chamber; no fix. It got better with CCI Standard ammo instead of Winchester and Federal that I used before
but still some FTE's so I continued my quest to get this fixed.
The problem is caused by extractor springs that are not strong enough.
I noticed that the extractors had quite a bit less spring tension than the ones in my pre ww2 Savage bolt action.
So found heavier springs and replaced the factory ones and now it's working great.
