Who still likes there M+M 10X?

Marketing it as a DMR to cover up a price hike was the dumbest idea ever for a rifle that will likely never have any DMR potential. They should have labeled it an enhanced model the way Bushmaster did with the ACR and not give any false sense of hope.

The T81 amd even the VZ series offer tremendous value solong as you dont intend to modernize/add anything to them, where as the M10x offers tremendous value if you intend to make use its updated features.

Like you say, this really is the perfect emulation Sig 550 x39 variant that people have been crying for at a bargin price point with some further improvements.

This I could not agree more with!!!!

What M+M really ought to have is two models:
1) A dumbed down, light weight 7.62x39 model that can take a red dot with a simple forward rail and hand guard, and
2) An up-scaled version that plays on the SG550 lineage and a caliber of round that is more suited to precision and perhaps hunting - like 6.5 Grendel.

Combining the heavy and expensive features with a 60 year old cartridge and pricing it the way they did killed it for even dedicated gun nuts. Pants-on-head retarded.
Anyone defending the abortion they came to market with is unfortunately drunk from the cool-aid.

Once you modernize a VZ to a comparable level as the M10x you are well beyond M10x cost.

Just between RS Regulate and Magpul your going to spend $700 mounting optics and adding a magpul stock.

Then upgrading the front you will spend another $300 on a heavy quad rail, because an Mlok one doesn't exist.

Then expect to easily spend another $100 on a good comp.

Looks like another $1100 on top of a rifle worth $1380. So you get close to the M10x for $2480.

You still dont have the ability to use folding BUIS, and both your weight and balance arguments will be ####ed with the weight of your clunky quadrail.

Not sure why you think the M10x isn't modular, mlok is the epitome of modular, what part support does the VZ have that the M10x doesn't?

VZ mags are needlessly bulky and dont fit most fitted pouches, and while the VZ does have a BHO, what good is it with out a bolt release?

The M10x trigger and safety is better, and the CH is ambi.

Needless to say, I think one is far better off with the M10x if you want a modernized x39 rock and lock platform.

Ya buy a new CSA VZ58 with the buffer tube for $1300 if u hunt around.
Stick a aftermarket buttstock on it... lets say 70 bucks
Buy the mount and side rail combo for around 180 bucks
Polymer railed forend for around 70 bucks and as a bonus save on weight
Add a bolt release for 80
Add an actual comp 60 bucks (unlike the flashider i believe the m10x comes with)

So more like 500 bucks and u have all the basic benefits the m10x provides AND THEN SOME. Plus u still got a lighter, more balanced, more accurate rifle. And the mags are lighter cus there aluminum, have a last round hold open, are readily available and very affordable.

I can list many sources for VZ parts.... how many places carry M10x parts ??

As for modularity are u kidding me ? Like seriously u can switch almost every part on a VZ to ur liking. Look at the VZ build thread, they are all different, how much difference is there between people M10xs...? Pretty much none.... the M10x is basically the Benelli MR1 of the 7.62 world lol

:jerkit:Call me a liar, you hve zero clue what you are talking about and I'm 100% you've never touched that rifle.
You guys are tards if you think I did that
Blackvoid, post a pic and see if yours has that same set screw "if it came from the factory like that" LOL.

How do you know the one rifle Calibre got missed on QC???

Relax champ,
I didn't suggest you are a liar or that the bubba screw was your handi work.... It's just my opinion that that level of attention to detail on this American made, mid priced rifle is sub par .

However if you are happy with that level of quality and more of a who cares as long as it works sort if person then what does it matter what I think?

You should just relax and enjoy your rifle with out the need to get worked up over people that think it could be better for the price they are asking.

Stop throwing out innuendos then bub and no prob. Funny how people who have no experience with this rifle st all seem to be the ones making the most fuss out of it.

But I do enjoy it, very much. Too bad someone of you never really know the fun in this rifle

I was ready to buy one and still might if I see a good price on the E.E.

Fact is there is a fair bit of s h i t associated with M&M mostly due to their own decisions and then the fact that the accuracy is comparable with much cheaper, commonly available guns and not up to the Hype M&M and their chosen importer promoted.

Given all that's happened.......there is bound to be some justified negative comments, never mind innuendos.

I also agree with posters that have questioned the usefulness of a full rail when all this gun needs optically is a red dot based on the cartridge and reported accuracy so far...... but it's a nice looking gun(minus the set screw) and that's enough for many to justify a purchase in the $1500 range.

This is what people dont get, M+M had a carrot dangled in front of them by NS with the promise of M+M making alot more money if they do business with NS and NS whipped up this whole DMR #### which is still a joke in my mind YET cuz NS brings in a lot of product into the country people seem to turn a blind eye to that and would never boycott them but instead hold a single rifle accountable.

That is funny to me

So much this. I wont lie, I have had a grudge against NS for a long time due to their blatant gouging, poor customer service, and ####ty business tactics.

M10x isn't anything but another strike on the wall against them in my books.

I got screwed by them numerous times on warranty issues for several different rifles but having invested so much time following the m10x and wanting one more then any other said rifle out there I of course was pissed with the price increase but that alone wouldn't have made me reject the rifle I've been wanting for years.

Lots of valid points folks. Either way it's a neat rifle and I'm glad it can be had in kanuckistan where everything is "scary and should be illegal" lol

I'll concede that that's one of the nicer modernized VZ58's I've seen but a little RMR mounted on the hand rail is far from ideal.

When you shoot with both eyes it's just a red dot. Can't see the sight at all.

BTW. I had T1 mounted, then RMR, now back to T1.
