Just to follow up on my post about the inconsistent ejection and strange wear in my XCR. I have spoken to Terra at RobArm and she has told me that yes, they have seen the strange wear marks before. They believe that they may be caused by a small blemish in the deburring of the rails. Terra had me send the upper (and internals) back to them for analysis, and they will be replacing the upper at no cost to me. Top notch customer support!

I think robinson would deal with any issues properly with the xcr. Everyone is watching the company and the gun . It sounds like the rifle in question is a rare occurance . This happens on any products . It has nothing to do with the design.

I had the two cap screws come loose and fall out from the ejector plate the first time I took mine out. Emailed RobArm and had new ones in a week N/C. Great customer service IMO!

Actually Robarm has always had a rep for excellent customer service. Lots of people slag the teething problems with the 96 but they were handled (by all reports) very well indeed. I don't own a Robinson, but wouldn't hesitate to buy one for that reason alone. Their service is not an issue.

Update:

Terra @ RobArm says she will be shipping my new upper back to me as soon as she receives my old one, can't wait!

I asked her about getting more XCR's into Canada, she said that they are still working on getting their export permit finalized. They were only able to ship a small number up here until thats done. She says that they really, really want to send more rifles up here!

Also, rumor has it that fearing another AWB, RobArm is working hard on getting the .308 XCR-M out before the 08 US elections!!! NOTE: This is a RUMOR, and is NOT from RobArm itself. Guess we'll see ;)

Apparently a batch of XCR's did not receive the loctite on their ejector bolts before being shipped. I've heard about this a few times now. The ones in mine were very tight, definitely not going anywhere.

I checked mine as well, they are tight as hell.

now for those slagging the xcr, my cz-858 need loctite on the front sight, one of the pins holding the bottom handguard on fell out, and the thing had to go for warranty work for disconnector problems.

My m305 would always have the gas nut loosening, resulting in short stroking

My ar15 would barely run until well broken in, and still has an occasional hiccup.

all semi-autos can have problems. I am still highly impressed with my xcr
