Oil Or Grease?

That's a big 10-4 on the above. Clean liberal lube conservative. Even though Conservatves love oil these days don't use much even if it cost jobs.

Thanks for all the replies. I have some Moly-Slide (Molybdenum Disulfide) from my hand gunning days. Can that be used?

Thanks, Leo.

Moly based grease is a great choice in most cases, its almost overkill from a standpoint in that it has very high shear strength which most firearms rarely see under most applications. It will protect well against rust and corrosion, and lubricate.
The only downside for me is that if it gets on your clothes its sticky and hard to wash off. But used sparingly that shouldn't be much off a problem.

Many years ago I purchased a cartridge of synthetic wheel bearing grease. I have used this for many years & it works well. I believe I still have a life time supply. :)[/QUOT

It never occurred to me to use anything but oil. Now I have a use for that synthetic grease I haven’t used in years. My toes are twitching with delight!!
