Help with value of Parker Hale 303

I don't know if there are Parker Hale collectors but if there are they would be all over this. I have never seen a mint PH in its box so its value is definitely higher than a shooter that's been drug around the bush. I hope someone knowledgeable jumps in to help you.

From what I see here at the local gun shows, a No.4 Parker Hale Supreme, original box and all, I'd expect to see $450-$600.

I'm very happy with my No.4 Supreme which is used and in good working condition. But if I were in funds when it was offered, I'd pay that much for one new-in-box. Then I'd regret it because I'd feel it was too nice to take hunting.

WOW!! ........... That's a very nice rifle for a collector to find and near impossible to replace.

I don't think that $600 would be enough for that.

That's a gem, never seen one in the box!

They usually go in the $250-$400 range, but I'd say you're in the $600 range with this one, which would be ~50% more than the average PH with no box.

I've been checking stores and the ee for a decent PH to add to my .303 Brit collection and I would say that the price of a very good condition PH from a retailer is around $425. I have been contemplating one that have been on sale for 3 weeks now but haven't pulled the trigger because it is at that threshold. Private sellers seen to be matching this price with the only incentive being the fact that you don't have to pay any taxes. The box definately adds value and if Iwas a little more serious about a PH, I would go for one that is in an original box and would pay a little more. If I was in the market, I would pay $600, anything more, I would be looking for another full military Enfield or an EAL or some thing in a .308.

That rifle makes me think we need a parker hale enfield thread. But then we probably already have one.

Someone post some 45-70 gibbs pictures NIB already!

So are you saying you see these often at guns shows?
I have never. Pretty much just a collector piece that someone would buy to display.

It's been fired you said, that right there would turn the high paying collector off.
Just keep it. It's a nice gun, but it's a commercial No4 sporter at the end of the day.
