OK, guys, which is the easiest semi-auto to field strip for cleaning. Which one would you recommend for the complete spaz out there? Well, ok, for the most technically-challenged?

CZ75
Glock 17
Beretta 92 or 90-Two
Sig 226
Browning Hi-Power
Other?

Again, I am looking for the easiest one to field strip. Thanks in advance. (By the way, I know that this is not supposed to be the key criterion for choosing a "nine"; I am just wondering.

All of the ones you've mentioned are designed for the military, where they may have to be serviced by less than talented people under less than ideal conditions. Thus, they should be fairly straight-foreward. Both the Glock and 92 are remarkably easy in my experience

In my personal experience, with guns I own or have handled, none is easier to take apart and put back together than the Glock.

Glock's really easy, but still slightly awkward with that pulling down the release on both sides while retracting the slide just a tad, but not enough to partially #### the striker mechanism. Easy once you get the hang of it, but a Beretta 92 there is no "hang of it", you literally just flip a lever and the whole thing comes apart. It's seriously that simple.

I think most of the responses that will tout something other than the 92 just haven't dissasembled one. And don't take me as a biased 92 fan, I've owned a few like most everything, still have one in the form of a PT92, but I'm really not a big fan of the pistol compared to say Glocks but I'm just stating facts. It's insanely easy.

A HUGE +1

Steyr M-A1 is actually just as easy to take apart and it works the same.

i are a spaz - my vote goes to the S&W M&P9

I'd go with the Beretta, the only thing missing is a directional arrow. Since the lever only goes one way that's not much of a problem.

Glock............. Rack It, Hold Down The Knobs, Fire Off The Trigger, Slide is Off....EASY

No slide stops to take out, levers to rotate etc

No it's not the glock! With a 92FS all you do is press the 'button' on one side of the frame and turn the lever down on other side at the same time - I can do that with one hand! It doesn't get any easier than that.

No racking the slide, pulling a trigger, holding down the little knobs etc.
