Hey there!

I am a new kid in the block and was wondering what are some good red dot choices for my AR15 for under 200-250$ used. (Currently awaiting EE review). Not really willing to spend much more than that at this moment.

I've read from a previous post that the vortex crossfire, sparc and sig's romeo5 were great for their price point. Is there anything else worth considering?

That being said, how much should i expect to pay for these on the used market?

Thanks!

Thank you guys for the quick reply!

Would ya guys happen to know how bushnell's warranty is? As there is only a 30$ pricetag difference between the crossfire and the trs-25, I'd figure the crossfire might be a better choice if bushnell's warranty is not on par~

Thanks!

I think that a person can't go wrong with Vortex. A quality product and a warranty that can't be beat.

Holosun are a fantastic optic in your price range, in my opinion the 403 is the best optic on the market under $250. I own both the trs-25 and the Holosun, and yes the trs is more affordable, but for $75 or so more the Holosun gives you so much more. The 2moa dot is much more precise, auto shut off, 50,000hr battery life, and I love the " shake and wake", move the gun and the optic turns on. Watch some reviews on YouTube, Holosun make a tough, durable and affordable optic

Vortex with their lifetime warranty is the way to go. Red dots break eventually it's nice getting a no hassle replacement. I had 2 red dots replaced for me last year with no problems.

I believe it's a no questions asked vortex style warranty but Google is your best bet.

Get a used Eotech off of EE for about the same price as a new Holosun with tax. The Holosun, while cheap, may not last very long. A good Eotech will serve you well. Had a Vortex Spar II and found the dot not as clear. The Eotech is just way better IMHO.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Now let's talk about the not so fun part. the price. how much should i expect to pay for a XPS2's vs Romeo5 vs Crossfire/SparcAR on EE?

Thanks!
