Please forgive me if this has been answered already but can you use any standard AR upper reciever with the MS lower? Or does the upper and lower have to be from ATRS to build?

All has to be ATRS MS. The atrs lower is shorter overall than an Ar pattern , stepped down in front by the pivot pin and they attach differently. No possible way for an Ar upper or lower to work woth an ATRS modern sporter.

Screw on deflectors are for the slick side uppers

This. The reason for that was that a machined deflector on SS would require them to start with a significantly larger block of material adding extra cost at no benefit.

I like my SS uppers but seeing a FA makes me want one (or five).

I’ve got one to try. Just need time to do it. I got the strike industries extended catch first. It won’t work.

Yes, but you have to install the trigger pin first.
I found it a bit sloppy

One pin was behind it , I think it says so on the instructions.

Sloppy as in it wiggles around a small bit, probably not enough to bother anyone but me.

I am running a Timney Calvin Elite in mine along with the Maritime bolt release, no problems. And no fitting required.

For those of you running bsf barrels with .875 gas blocks, what are the options for mlok handguards? Superlative .875 gas blocks have a height of 1.616 inches. Thanks in advance
