What is your preferred reticle for a coyote rifle?

I've played with standard duplex, bdc, Leupold Varmint hunter's reticles and right now the EBR-7B reticle in my AMG. I really love the Mil Christmas tree reticle for those holdovers when you don't have time to dial.

Leupold Varmint Hunters. I think I have 6 or 7. Once you dial in the ballistics (which is a pain, thanks for he most vague instructions ever Leupold) very easy to use in the field.

Plex reticle with elevation turret. If I ever need to dial up (over 350yds) the yote is so far away I have time to range and dial.

I have yet to meet many coyotes that hung around long enough for me to range them, dial in and shoot. I didn't care for bdc in a SFP scope, as it is only on at one magnification. I hated trying to launch 75 amax from a 223, they dropped like a rock and made range estimation super critical. I like the edge that firedot gives in low light, now I shoot 50gr superformance in 22-250 and simply hold over. 1 shot kill at 487 yards this year, ranged after the shot. I was barking at him for quite a ways before he stopped and gave me a look.

I’m still rocking a fine duplex (Leupold) for mine. As stated above ranging and holdover isn’t usually an issue where I hunt, but I do zero for approximate MPBR (1.5” high at 100yds) to keep things simple.

I use a B&C on my Kimber 22/250 , and a varmintor on a Gaillard 204 built on a 700 short. My 22/243 and 22 Middlestead both have Mark 4s with TMRs. I often turn the power down a bit to make the 1/2 mil into 2 MOA.

Ran a Nightforce NPR2 in 3.5-15x56 for several years. Left the scope at 15x 95% for the style of shooting and calling I do. This year I used a Minox ZP5 5-25x56 MR4 set at 15x and got along just fine.

I run the exact same nightforce.
Awesome setup
