Recreational target shooting, not competing.
I'm torn between sig p226 and cz shadow 2. Can't decide for myself, all suggestions are appreciated. Thank you

I held both of them, I love them both. I'm going to the range and ask if I can rent them both and shoot them at the same time

I think the Shadow is a much nicer shooting gun the way it's designed. Lower bore axis and better grip (for my hands anyways) and a better trigger from what I've seen.
Both are nice though so to each their own.

Own a Sig 226 and a CZ TS which is very similar to the shadow. Both shoot very well. In my view the bore axis is not as big deal, you adjust to this sort of thing. The CZ is heavier and somewhat easier to shoot well as it is more intended to be a target/competition firearm while the 226 is more a combat firearm. If you go with the SIG get the SRT trigger. I love both of them but can typically shoot the CZ a bit more accurately although the 226 is plenty accurate and unbelievable reliable. Both are great firearms can't go wrong with either.

I owned a shadow 1 but sold it after got a shadow 2 OR. I also have a P226 stainless with SRT. They both are worth to own. P226 has a slightly heavier trigger (4lb stock vs. 3lb stock of shadow 2) but it's so smooth so the overall trigger pull feels better. Without the red dot, P226 outshoot shadow 2. That's for me.

I have the Sig 226 and a CZ Shadowline plus a Shadow 2, to me the CZ has it all over the Sig, so much so I'm selling my Sig to a friend.
