S&w 460 V (5")?

460

A friend of mine ordered one yesterday, Thursday, no problem at all apparently they are ok now. Looking forward to seeing and shooting it.
Also a local dealer checked it out and has ordered one for the shop stock, again no problem.

I received mine today from the above mentioned sponsor......looks great. I have a couple boxes of Hornady 200GR for it, but I can't wait to load up some 300gr rounds and head to the range with it. :)

Is there 460 dies? or can you use 45 colt dies to reload? Sorry novice reloader here

edited to add......I think I just found my own answer here, looks like there are 460 dies....

Yesterday CFC verification service rejected my request to verify S&W 460V as a restricted handgun because of the barrel length without a compensator. I spent more than an hour on the phone with verifier Gary trying to explain this situation, but despite the reasons I provided, the CFC database still classifies the 460V as a prohibited gun. I'm quite disappointed with this. I can buy this gun in the local gun store for $1350 as restricted, without any questions asked, but cannot import one from US for $850 because it is "prohibited" in Canada. Does anyone have a solutions to this?

Strange as I had no issues but mine was already in country.......I guess I would snap one up that is already in Canada. I guess if you really want one you'll pay the extra $$$.

Didn't the RCMP verisfy and already list this as restricted? I would somply talk to someone else....higher up the food chain, but maybe sideways would work as well.

Mine?........worth every penny. :) The 200gr Hornady's really "pop" hahahahaha I can;t wait until my dies get here, then we'll test the 300gr XTP Mags!
