Heckler & Koch MR223A3 question

I was asked about the dbal on my mr223 so here's a picture of it with it on. Finally got my mr308 it's own vertical grip too

Which version? I just got the DBAL A3 but haven’t had time to play with it yet.
Are you getting the surefire dual pressure pad to control the DBAL and light, or something else? Does anyone else make a dual pressure pad?

Ya its a dbal a3. Not sure what I'm going to do with the pressure pad situation. Might just use the pressure pad for the a3 and the normal cap button on the surefire. I'm tempted to try the surefire switch apparently it works with the i2 and d2. I'm guessing the a3 should be no different.

I put the surefire sr d it from https://www.911supply.ca/products/surefire-dual-tape-switch-7 on it works great on the dbal a3 and surefire. Good fit. Trying to post some pics.

Just wondering, if the firing pin safety is removed, then regular AR triggers can be used? Even on the MR308?

And does the HK triggers work with regular ARs?

HK has a higher bolt velocity. Part of the reason the firing pin safety is to prevent slam fire. Removing the firing pin safety could be dangerous.

Yes the hk trigger will work on regular ars. And unless im mistaken then you can also put ars on safe after dropping the hammer with the Hk trigger.

So I called into geissele today because I just picked up a SSA-E.
The HK triggers that they sell are just SSA triggers that will work with the firing pin safety. I wanted a lighter pull for my MR308 and I was able to confirm with their tech that I can simply take the trigger and disconnector spring from a regular SSA-E and swap it with the springs of their HK trigger to achieve a lighter pull in the HK trigger.

I also asked if their HK trigger can be used in a regular AR and their answer was basically they did not test it, it would probably be ok, but not recommended.

Took off my handguard today to install new dust cover. The green loctite made it very hard and there was a few minutes where I was thinking "good thing I like this handguard cause looks like its stuck on there forever."
But I eventually hammered it out with the rubber mallet. I reinstalled it without any new loctite. Hopefully the dried up bits of the last application will be enough to hold it in place while also not making taking it off so hard. Anyways, if it does walk forward again, at least i know the solution.

Heres the new dust cover, done by CSC:

Also, after shooting a lot of PMC and hirtenberger through the MR308, I think im kind of wasting the good barrel with #### ammo. So I'm testing some loads of 175 SMK through it. Heres the best groups. All shot at 200 yards:

Ignore the numbers that I shot over. I'm reusing target paper cause im cheap lmao

Pretty good groups, I switched from an RDS (due my aging eyes & astigmatism) to a Steiner P4Xi 1-4, very pleased with scope on all levels, with some 77gr I was able to put several in a 1" dot.

Anyone have a suggestion for a sling and mounting solution that will fit the sling plate at the rear of the MR223A3 receiver?

I have tried a Magpul MS3 Gen 2 and a old school Blue Force Gear hook. Neither fit. The hook fits but binds against the receiver and the Magpul latch won't even close around the sling plate.
