Glad there are other .22 pump fans. My second .22 as a kid was a Winchester 62A... great gun with the visible hammer. In the 50's & 60's, the cowboy shows on TV seduced me into having a lever action. When I discovered a used Marlin Mountie at the Hudson Bay store (yes, the Bay sold guns!) I couldn't afford two guns on my meagre paper route money, so I had to trade my Win. 62 to afford the Mountie. Still have the Mountie after 56 yrs. and have re-acquired a few Win. 62As and 61s. Also have a collection of the various Rossi's (carbines, long barrels, octogonal barrel, .22 mag, etc.). The Browning Trombones I have are sweet little pumps but my favorites are the visible hammer model pumps. I have had the deluxe Fieldmasters however the Remingtons went to new homes as they didn't feel as comfortable as my other pumps. The plus for the Remingtons was being able to scope them. Some of my 61s and Trombones are grooved so I still have a scope option for a .22 pump.
