I have a 5 gallon pail of 9mm brass.
Over 90% would be from range pick up from rcmp shoots. Therefore 1x and decent quality.
Is it worth anything for reloading?
Clean brass is $2.00 a lb.
Guess I will just donate to the local range.
A good older guy there that takes care of brass recycling...
A full 5 gallon pail would have 8000-9000 cases in it or about 70-80 pounds of brass. if it's clean a scrap yard will give you $2/lb. so it's worth about $140-160 bucks. Worth the trip. Clean, once fired brass will get you about $30-35 from reloaders but unless you can sell it locally it's not worth the effort with packing & shipping. Our club tried selling once fired nickel 9mm cases that we get from CBSA which trains at our range. Very good brass but we just couldn't sell enough locally to keep up with supply so we sold off 1200 pounds to a commercial recycler/reloader. Didn't make as much money but he took it all at once.I have a 5 gallon pail of 9mm brass.
