PAL Wait Time

I called in 3 days ago and asked if mine can be prioritized , the agent said I should be receiving it within 7 days. It was issued on April 18th.

I'm in QC, application was mailed on 2019-03-29.

According to the RCMP website, application received on 2019-04-01.

CC charged 28 days later, when I checked on 2019-05-20 "Your application has been processed and your license has been issued".

Now we wait, though looking at some of the recent comments here I'm not holding my breath to see the card in the letterbox any time time soon...

Called in this morning to check status. They told me my license was printed in the 17th the day after they told me they would make it a priority. Calling in really does work I guess.
Now to check the mailbox 3 times a day for the next week.

Check the mailbox today and my card was there!!!! Left work early to pick up my new Remington 870. What a loser I am lol. Who leaves work early to do this!!! Lol. Even when I walked in to the range I am registered at to pick up my stuff they all cheered lol. Licence issued may 3rd. I was put on the priority list last Monday and arrived today!! I'm in Ontario.

Congrats!

so if your file is at the provincial CFO. Would they "beat you with sticks" if you showed up in person at the CFO office?

as in, does it work against you to show up in person or would it help to move things along faster?

I hear that they keep a record of how many times you call in but you should just call in not show up in person. Thats only my opinion

Just remember ladies and gentlemen , you are calling an office but you are speaking to a person. If you make the call pleasant for them then they will be much more inclined to do a little extra for you.

24 days from the time they received mine until the charge showed on my CC.
14 days from CC charge to approved/issued status.
12 days from issued status to receiving card in the mail.

Now it is time to shop.

edit: PAL/RPAL (first timer)

Wow that has to be one of the fastest I've heard of.
Mine wasnt printed for a full month after being "issued"
And that was after I called multiple times.

I was pretty concerned about the wait after reading a few threads online but it turned out fairly well in my case. Now it's time to see how long transfers will be.
