I didn't realise PPC is still popular. Any clubs in the Ottawa area shooting PPC? I have S&W model 10 from 1962 I would love to shoot.

We use autos and revolvers in our ppc matches, the revolvers have a clear advantage because we shoot to 50yrds in our ppc matches while our duty matches only goes to 25yrds.
For the big NS match we usually send guys to,
1x Red dots are also allowed.
I know they have an overall winner, and class listings as well, but I'm not sure what defines each group. I only shoot at the club level, and generally we don't worry what you shoot.
Just no .22s.
I shoot a 45 1911 and I see glocks, czs, norincos, and cartridges from 9mm, 40sw, 357sig(!), ect.
As you can tell, your club will have their own ways of doing things, I know some clubs only go to 25yrds, so for 99% of the shooting an auto would be fine.
I know NS match details don't help you in Ontario, but getting out to a match at your club will let you know how things are being done now.
Okayshooter on here also shoots ppc and was at the big ns match, probably knows more about the class break downs, but I think people are shooting for the overall score winner most times.
Lastly, our matches have 2x as many people as when I started a couple years ago. Seems all shooting sports are getting a population boost. Great!
why not grab a sarsilmaz pr 38? 600ish brand new, and it comes in matte black, classic blued, and stainless. It's a 586 clone, and pretty well made for a knock off. If the finish gets a little worn, no big worry.
Well.....I'm back in the game lads. Thanks yodave...... found a belt, pouches and a couple speed loaders. Now on the hunt for a decent holster and more loaders.
Anybody use a 9mm revolver for PPC? I picked up a S&W 986 that I’m looking to turn use for this so I only have to reload one caliber. Any recommendations for a 9mm mouse load?

You loaded 9mm with 147grn CamPro truncated nose bullet, at COL of 1.00"? That's super short. I load that bullet at 1.097" in Shadows, which are known for having short throats, and up to 1.130" in my Tactical Sports.
Also, no mention of which powder is in the loads.
