Yes it is. Or at least what it becomes after the FTF. Browning also kicked around the idea of CLUB, BATON and STICK before settling on the BAR.

Just kiddin' I've heard my share of barrages from every repeater, be it levers pumps or bolts. And when Buck fever strikes....FTF, miss aligned shots, that damned safety...etc.

I use an M1 Garand that has yet to fail me, I'll take on any bolt action with iron sights at the range and print equally tight groups.

It would be disappointing if what you say is true.
