PAL Wait Time

I mailed my app 3 weeks agom The online status indicates nothing in the system. Is this normal? What is the typical wait time from mailing out an app to showing some signs of life online?

This could be normal, just keep an eye on your credit card, the minute you see the RCMP charged the app amount, then it will show online.
 
From mailing the information packet and money order to the time my application showed up on the site was about 25 days. Allowing a few days for the mail, that's three weeks. Others have reported longer waits before status showed up.

Says it passed first stage, got put through to the CFO last week, she said she would put a note on my application but no promises it will be gotten to right away. Said give it another month. Also she said my criminal record has slowed things down but it hasnt been rejected so not to worry. So I was going to call end of this week or start of next and ask if it's been a month yet lol. But you gotta call regularly, but not too much cause they keep track. Also be polite, kind of a given. And No you cant have your references call in for you to speed things up. You used to but not no more. My brother tried and got shut down. Things have changed a bit since he got his a coupe years back. Hope some of this helps. Oh and vote Andrew Sheer so we can repeal c71 lol that it all

3 weeks for the initial processing, not bad I think. I'm in BC and submitted both RPAL and PAL applications.

Also in BC, also PAL and RPAL, also recieved June 3rd.
Are we the same person?
 
Maybe we took the same Sunday course and tests, with Hermes from Reliable? Got my kit in the mail two days after that. There were a dozen of us or so, probably all similar timing on the forms getting in.
 
Ontario timeline:

April 6-7: CFSC & CRFSC courses
April 26: Application received in Miramichi
May 7: Application appears on RCMP site as in progress
May 22: RCMP site updated to say licence issued
June 25: Card received in the mail
 
Ok I got called today. Upgrade from PAL to RPAL.

Application received march 12.

RPAL issued today.

105 days. That’s Quebec time, and I got a little help from a long time friend of mine.

Don’t be desesperate, they are currently working on applications received in march/april.

I hear people say this all the time ?? What is a MP gonna do? They have no grounds to expedite a firearms licence.... not to mention the liability they would hold if that firearms licence was ever used unlawfully.....

I get it .... they are our representatives to the government ... at the end of the day I dont see them risking his position so I can have a little pew pew

I WOULD happily contact my MP if i
A: knew what to say
B: knew which MP to contact
