Day use back pack

Check out the day packs at MEC - they have lots of selection. I used an older version of something like this one: ht tps://www.deuter.com/CA/ce/hiking/airlite-22-4420315-black-grey.html

I used to buy lots of stuff at MEC and their house branded stuff is normally good for a good price. But with their anti hunting agenda/message for the last several years, I’ve stopped buying from them.

I have a Tenzing 3000 as my big game day pack and it’s plenty big but with the compression straps I can cinch it down and keep a low profile. I also use fanny packs for upland hunting or hunting from a tree stand. These are nice as they are small, expandable and I can hang them up in the tree once I’m set up.

Mine are Badlands,

Patrick

me too , won't deal with MEC for any reason , they are as you say, anti hunting and anti firearms.

I use a waterproof pack from MEC. Got it on sale. It has a lot of pockets and is good for organizing gear. I can carry everything I need in it. The size is perfect. MEC has a big selection

I believe their position is anti certain types of firearms and stated clearly that they aren't anti hunting. I'm not big on boycotts so will continue to buy from them.

Looks good how doues it hold up for the money

Well I have not dragged it down the road or chucked it off a mountain or building (like one of their videos for the M pack shows) but not one stitch has popped, no rubs, tears or rips in the material and no broken clasps after 2 seasons of medium usage.
Since I got mine the price has gone up about $30CAD

A hunting buddy has the next sized pack up (M) and I believe he is now on season 3, maybe 4, with his.

Maybe have a look at where their charity money goes, then say they’re not anti hunting. And what brand was it they pulled last year????

I don't see anything on here with an obvious anti-hunting stance. Can you tell me what I'm missing?

They’re big supporters of the rain coast conversion people who are anti hunting, last time I was in the store there was huge save the wolves posters on the walls, and when they pulled all of vista outdoors products off the shelves because they’re under the same umbrella as Remington (I think it’s Remington, but I’m running on memory), that was the final straw for me. But, that’s just me......
