Will never see the bush or hunting. Really not sure what use it would be. The ext. mag release is a compition thought. They are available for many types of AR platforms.

These guys have the big mushroom button. Apparently you can swipe your left palm across it while coming off the gun and reaching for your mag on belt to drop the mag in gun.

I support mine just ahead of the mag well and with this raised mag release I can drop the mag with my left palm heel with the rifle in place.

Started to get malfunctions around 750 rounds. Thought it was just dirty but it turned out to be the three small Allen screws holding the barrel trunnion were loose and falling out. Went over all the screws with locktite just to sure. Hand guard screw was also coming loose constantly.

Just an FYI the screws holding the front and rear sights on are not Allen screws. They are Torx head screws. I thought that was weird considering Ruger gives you three Allen keys. I suppose you’re not suppose to touch them during cleaning but I gave them the locktite treatment regardless. I happen to have a huge set of Torx screw drivers and bits so it wasn’t an issue for me but out in the field it would be.

Thanks for the info. Now to find some! It is fair to say this gun was designed around the concept to meet a need for the competition crowd and the growing interest in two and three gun competitions, along with stand alone events involving PCC's. Probbaly a good choice for shooting deer over in the Charlottes as well.

I got mine from Irunguns as they're the cheapest even with the US dollar conversion.

This is how the G26 mags look

Cool thanks. I am going to track down at least two of those mags. They certainly would be easier to reload, when seconds count. I noticed you went with a reflex sight. I am planning on putting a Vortex Strikefire on mine unless I can track down a Sparc2.

I'm glad Ruger supplied a Glock magwell adapter as Glock mags are cheap and plentiful. However, as someone who owns ton of Sig 320 magazines I wonder if magwell adapters for other magazines will one day be available.

If ruger doesn't make them, someone with a 3D printer can.

^^ Any Canadian company selling these or do we have to import them?

With such a small market I can't see anyone bothering to carry them. I am planning to just buy one or one similar out of the US.

I got my Strikefire from Tillsonberg Gun shop today (Nice hat Jeff). With the mount supplied I decided to put it on my Sub2K for now. I have tracked down a Sparc2, which when obtained will go on my Ruger PCC. The Strikefire rides to high for comfortable shooting using the Ruger. Works way better on the Kel Tec. The mount I want for the Kel Tec will cost about $200Cdn but will a;pw the gun to be folded. I'll post pics next week.

These guns are fun to shoot, accurate and cheap to shoot. The best part as they all like my cast bullets which gets the cost down to about what it costs to shoot .22LR.

Has anyone ever seen a non threaded muzzle. Receantly purchased a restricted pc 9 that apeared to be threaded with protector. After trying to remove with pipe wrench i finally gave up and put into my lathe. After some turning it was obvious there were no threads. Finally machined to size and threaded barrel. Manual states that the barrel is threaded and couldn't find anything online.
