What's everyone's opinion on best freeze dried meals for backpack hunt. Mountain house peak refuel etc.
I stick with mountain house
Mountain house is good. I also like to make my own breakfasts with quick oats with powder milk, brown sugar and cinnamon. Per bag a portion and ziplock it. Just add boiling water.
My go to is protein powder, quick oats and some crushed pecans. Just add water and let soak. Nutritionally you cover all your bases.
No way! We want to spend $10 or $15/meal haha...
They are definitely not necessary. I think the appeal is the moral boost/mood boost you have with the quick easy meals.
Never could being myself to buy free dried meals. How do they compare to instant mashed potatoes, lipton sidekicks, canned fish with oil, wasa/ryvita, raisins, granola, corned beef, etc?
