Buy a leupold they said it will be great they said.

Not a derail, I don't think, but I consider Burris and Nikon as pretty damn reliable glass. I've photographed with Nikon equipment for 30 years and only one hand me down lens from my father that he used professionally for years before has had seal issues. My experience over only 10 years with their scopes has been similar. Send it back for warranty. Sh!t happens. Its how a company deals with a problem that seperates them. Fwiw, I never liked the feel of Bushnell products. Vortex seems ok, but Burris and Nikon just seem to have quality control down.

I think if it was my scope I would use it this hunting season . and when the season is done I would send it in.

I will be sending it off on Tuesday affter i talk to the store i bought it from. I will deffinetly take some pics of the sn and overall scope before it leaves. Thanks for all the tips.

So store bought. If they don’t take care of you then and there, I prob won’t be going back to that store again.

Bought my first Burris this year, was defective out of the box.Bought it last week of May, send in to Stoeger first week of June, warranty is done by sending in to Stoeger not the retailer.

Not sure where it is in the process aside from being received.

First and last purchase I will make from Burris.

Well im happy to here korth is good to deal with and fast. I hope to get this gun on with some hand loads befor open day.

In the shooting world, you get what you paid for. When you bought a leupold, you weren't just buying a good scope, you were buying excellent customer service, which is an added feature most people never want to have to use. Its unfortunate that you have to use it, but you should now get a chance to truly see where your money went. I am sure Korth will take care of you.

A couple of years ago I dropped ( yeah I know, first time ever, but s*** happens) a gun with an older original Vari - X III 6.5-20x40 on it. I had it customized by Leupold so that it had fine duplex and target turrets installed. Now this was on a Savage 12 LRPV and you know how heavy those mothers are, well it landed upside down right on the scope. Suprisingly there was no visible damage to the scope, the reticule was okay and it did not "rattle", checked for accuracy and could barely hit the field that the rock was in. Sent a note to Korth, told them what happened and they said send it in. Exactly 10 days later went to the Post Office and there was a package for me. Got home and opened up a brand new VX-3 6.5-20x40 with fine duplex, target turrets and a note saying "sorry it took so long". BUY LEUPOLD!

I called korth and they told me that it will have to be shipped back to the us to ger fixed. The retailer is going to throw a loner scope on To get me through hunting season.

Sorry we are a bit late to this one!

At this time, certain VX-6 and Mark 5 optics need to head back to Leupold in Oregon for repair. Generally, the turnaround time is four to six weeks.

Glad to hear your dealer is helping you out for this season.
